On July 10th 2024, in Bitola, we held the second of a series of workshops on digital security in sex work. This workshop is designed to help our community to deal with digital threats and challenges, and to protect their human rights in the digital world.
During the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the basic concepts of digital security, particularly how to protect their personal data in the digital world in compliance with the legal framework, as well as how to safely handle accounts and passwords and how to react in cases of breach of digital rights. In addition, they acquired knowledge pertaining to managing digital archives and techniques for protecting photos and other important data that may violate their dignity. Finally, through the workshop, the participants were informed about their freedom of expression in the digital space and how to communicate safely via the Internet and other electronic means.
This activity is conducted within the frames of the project Sex workers’ resilience in the digital age, with the support of the Hivos Foundation, through the Digital Defenders Partnership grant mechanism (DDP).
