The second part of the training (04.08 – 06.08.2020) for new national HIV counsellors organized by STAR – The First Sex Workers Collective in the Balkans and HERA is in progress, within the frames of the project “Sex Workers and Healthcare Provider in a Joint Collaborative Action to Provide Comprehensive Stigma and Discrimination-Free HIV and STI Services for Sex Workers in the Republic of North Macedonia”. This three-day training was attended by the same participants from the first part of the training for HIV counsellors, ie a total of 8 sex workers from Skopje, Gostivar and Strumica.
The second part of the training aims to provide participants with accreditation for new HIV counsellors, who will be involved in voluntary HIV counselling services among the community of sex workers across our country.
The project is supported by the ViiV Healthcare Positive Action Programme.
