In July 2018, Amsterdam will host the 22nd International AIDS Conference. The biennial conference is organised by the International AIDS Society, the world’s leading independent association of HIV professionals.
The conference will take place from the 23 to the 27 July 2018 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre and is expected to welcome around 18,000 participants from around the world.
The team of regional community networks of Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) are also joining the 22nd International AIDS Conference – July 22-27, 2018, Amsterdam, Netherlands in one common campaign named “Chase the virus, not people!”
The aim of the campaign is to draw attention to the problems of key population groups, against the backdrop of the catastrophic situation with the HIV/AIDS epidemic in EECA for comprehensive support of the region by the world community. Increase the priority of actions to overcome the discrimination and stigmatization of vulnerable and communities – as a key condition for an effective response to the HIV epidemic in EECA countries.
All networks communities, including sex workers will have their pavilion with their own actions, events and a 515 “ActivEast” stand in the Global Village at AIDS2018 conference.
The region of Eastern Europe and Central Asia is in the thick of the most vivid and important events! For more information about the campaign visit chasevirus.org. Our region must be heard, and none of us should miss it!
