CAREER ANGELS – AN INNOVATIVE CAREER DEVELOPMENT MODEL FOR WOMEN AT SOCIAL RISK

Starting from this month, the Association for Support of Marginalized Workers STAR-STAR Skopje begins with the implementation of a new project CAREER ANGELS – INNOVATIVE MODEL FOR CAREER DEVELOPMENT INTENDED FOR WOMEN AT SOCIAL RISK.

This project will contribute towards reducing unemployment rates among marginalized women (Roma and Albanian women from ethnic minorities, sex workers, transgender women, women drug users, women from rural areas, women migrants, single mothers, lesbians, bisexual women and women living with HIV, women in poverty) in North Macedonia directly promoting women empowerment as a main priority area. The project is envisaged as an innovative model which fosters sustainable career development of marginalized women through their direct involvement and provides cross-sectoral methodological support. On the long run, this project aims to create continuous labor market integration of these women, ultimately leading to their inclusion in every economic and political aspects of a democratic society.
